Skol

How it works

Skol lets anyone launch a coin that trades against an official Chiliz fan token on Solana. This page explains exactly what happens when you press Launch, what it costs and what nobody can change afterwards.

What a launch creates

Pressing Launch does three things in one go. It mints a new Solana token with a fixed supply of 1 billion and burns the mint authority, so no more can ever be created. It creates a liquidity pool on Meteora pairing that token with the fan token you chose. It puts the entire supply into that pool as the only asset, and locks it there permanently.

Nobody, including you and including Skol, receives tokens at launch. There is no presale, no team allocation and no reserve. The only way to hold the coin is to buy it from the pool like everyone else.

The price

Your coin opens at a market cap of about $2,500 and the price rises as people buy, because every purchase takes coins out of the pool. Selling does the reverse.

The pool has a price range that is fixed when it is created and can never be changed. Skol sets the top of that range far above any realistic price, so in practice you will not meet it, but it exists and it is permanent.

The fee

Every trade pays 2%, taken inside the swap, forever, wherever the coin is traded.

The person who launched the coin0.8%
Skol0.8%
Meteora, whose pool it runs on0.4%

The creator's 0.8% is enforced by the pool itself, not by Skol. It is attached to a locked position that belongs to the launching wallet, and it cannot be taken away, switched off or redirected by anyone.

Skol intends to use 70% of its own 0.8% to buy SKOL on the open market and burn it, keeping the remaining 30% to run the service. That split happens after fees are claimed and is a stated intention rather than something the pool enforces. Burns are published as transactions so they can be checked.

Liquidity is locked from the first block

The liquidity is locked permanently the moment the pool is created, not at some later milestone. There is no unlock date and no administrator who can release it. Fees can be claimed from a locked position, which is how creators earn, but the liquidity itself cannot be withdrawn by anyone.

Fan tokens

Fan tokens are issued by Chiliz and distributed through Socios. Skol does not issue them, control them or have any relationship with the clubs and organisations behind them. Skol simply uses one as the asset your coin is priced in, which requires no permission, in the same way any market can be priced in any asset.

A fan token is not redeemable for anything and is not backed by anything. Each one trades on its own market at whatever price that market sets, and can fall as easily as it rises.

At launch Skol supports PSG, because it is the fan token with a working market on Solana. Others open as their markets appear.

What Skol does not do

Naming and images are your responsibility

Do not use club crests, league logos, competition marks or photographs of people. Pairing a coin with a fan token does not give you any right to that club's brand, and Skol will remove from this site any coin that appears to impersonate a club, an athlete or an official product. Removal from the site does not remove the coin from Solana, because nothing can.
